At PrepMonitor UPSC ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Exosoft, we are deeply committed to respecting your privacy and protecting personal data collected through our mobile application, cloud services, and website.

This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we process and store it, the measures we take to safeguard your data, and your rights under applicable data protection regulations including the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and Google Play Store Developer Policies.

1. Information We Collect

When you register, sign in, or interact with PrepMonitor UPSC, we collect the following categories of information:

• Account & Contact Information: Your name, email address, profile picture (provided via Google Sign-In or Firebase Authentication), and mobile phone number (provided voluntarily during onboarding or in your profile for important exam notifications, WhatsApp support, and account verification).
• UPSC Study & Academic Profile: Selected optional subject, preparation stage (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced), target exam year (e.g., 2025, 2026, 2027), daily target study hours, and exam dates.
• Syllabus Progress & Revision Data: Tracked syllabus topics (GS Papers 1-4, Prelims, CSAT, Essay, and Optional subjects), topic completion status, revision counts, personal revision notes, and daily study checklists.
• Device & Technical Diagnostics: Device model, operating system version, unique installation identifier, crash logs, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push notification tokens to deliver scheduled revision alarms.
• Payment & Subscription Records: When purchasing a premium subscription, transactions are processed directly by authorized payment gateways (Razorpay or Google Play Billing). We receive and store transaction references, subscription tier, and validity dates. We never store raw payment card numbers or banking passwords.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your data strictly for legitimate operational purposes:

• To synchronize your syllabus checklist and study progress securely across devices.
• To calculate custom revision intervals using scientifically proven spaced-repetition schedules.
• To send timely daily study reminders and revision due notifications (which you can disable at any time in Settings).
• To deliver premium feature access and verify subscription entitlements.
• To provide dedicated WhatsApp and email support regarding your account and academic tracker.
• To diagnose bugs, prevent fraud, and optimize overall app performance.

3. Third-Party Services & Infrastructure

We collaborate with vetted, industry-leading infrastructure partners:

• Google Firebase (Alphabet Inc.): Authentication, Cloud Firestore database, and Cloud Messaging (FCM). Data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest with AES-256.
• Razorpay Software Private Limited: Secure payment processing compliant with PCI-DSS guidelines.
• Google Play In-App Billing: In-app digital subscription processing.

4. User Rights & Data Deletion

You maintain complete ownership of your personal information:

• Review & Edit: You can view and update your name, mobile number, optional subject, and study goals at any time in App Settings → Edit Profile.
• Permanent Account Deletion: You can delete your account and erase all associated syllabus data permanently at any time:
  1. In-App: Open PrepMonitor → Settings → App Info → Delete Account.
  2. Web Form: Visit our dedicated Account Deletion Request Portal to submit an immediate removal request.

5. Data Retention & Security

Your study progress data is stored securely in Google Cloud infrastructure for the duration of your active account. If an account deletion request is initiated, all personal identifying records, study plans, and topic logs are purged permanently from our production databases within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

PrepMonitor UPSC is designed for civil service aspirants preparing for national competitive examinations and is intended for individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors under the age of 13.

7. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features or regulatory requirements. Any material changes will be announced via in-app notification or banner.
